   Interactive map system JS Latvija

   JS Latvia is a complex product that allows you to operate within the real coordinates of space both with objects and also with the representation of the space - the map. The designed geographical information system includes maps and plans of various scales, references and visual information about the objects, the routing possibilities, the development of user object data-base, as well as the object monitoring function by means of a GPS receiver or another device generating real coordinates. Such an interactive system enables the user to view objects and to solve problems in real time and space.

   Modifications

JS Latvija has been developed in three modifications that have identical sets of data and maps, but different functionality.

Standard. Basic modification of the software with all main functions that are required to operate with the maps and the included database. JS Latvija Standard is an excellent aid to a tourist who intends to travel over Latvia virtually or in presence, a pupil (also a teacher) who studies geography of Latvia or computer basics or a student who learns about the geographical information systems.

GPS. Medium-level modification for an active traveller or a company dealing with organising of tour routes or provision of transportation services. JS Latvija Advanced in addition to basic functions includes also unlimited routing possibilities, development of extended user databases, as well as full support to the GPS (Global Positioning System) receivers.

   Professional. This modification of the software has been designed for professional use by security and logistics companies, as well as other companies or firms that are involved in transportation business in the territory of Latvia or need an extensive user data-base linked to real coordinates. JS Latvija Professional ensures monitoring of vehicles equipped with special units within the territory of Latvia. It is possible to exchange the user data with other software products.

   Maps

   Users of JS Latvija have access to almost all road maps, district and regional maps and city and village plans published by Jana Seta Map Publishers over the recent years.

   Maps of the JS Latvia will be supplemented at regular intervals according to the production plans of the map publishers and the registered users will be notified about the available upgrades.

   The database of JS Latvia includes more than 15 000 different objects organised in 29 overlays. The object overlays are arranged in 10 relative groups according to their significance and application.

The objects have links to descriptive and visual information that currently is available only in the Latvian language. Jana Seta Map Publishers will update and supplement the object database at regular intervals and will supply the registered users with the newest overlays and the updated or amended software versions..
