Features of Map Maker Pro™
Map making
software is generally both expensive and complicated, but Map Maker
Pro is a low-cost and easy to use, yet powerful, map making and
Geographical Information System for Windows. It is designed to enable
non-expert users to start producing useful maps after only a few hours
study. A variety of tools allows you to navigate around a map, measure
distances and areas, draw polygons, lines and symbols, and display and
edit data. Map Maker Pro can print maps directly on to any printer or
plotter which is fully supported by Windows.
Map Maker Pro can export images
for inclusion in documents produced on compatible Windows word
processors, such as Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, and Lotus Word Pro.
The program contains powerful data analysis and customisation tools
and can read data from many other programs. Map Maker Pro can use
scanned images, in colour or black and white. It can export and import
vector graphics to and from programs such as AutoCAD, ArcView,
ArcInfo, MapInfo and more. In addition, Map Maker Pro has a number of
easy-to-use tools for making field surveys and creating maps from
survey data. Non-expert users with no previous experience of surveying
can map a farm, urban development, an archaeological dig, a site of
special scientific interest, etc. Map Maker Pro comes with a 134 page
illustrated manual, a comprehensive help system, and additional
technical documentation on the CD.
Map Maker was originally
designed for projects in developing countries where low-cost and ease
of use are essential. Since then the program has proven itself useful
in a wide range of other fields, notably archaeology, geology,
agriculture, and environmental monitoring.
In daily activity the geographical
atlases, maps and plans of district frequently are used.
The geographical information system allows to look
through on the personal computer electronic maps and to create own
thematic maps.
The graphic information put by the user on already available maps,
gives an opportunity best to solve questions of business, travels and
rest.
Any object put on a map can be
displayed by a symbol, vector polygon, line of any colour and form. To
each object can be attached a photo, video, sound, the text or to be
started the separate program!

Exceptionally compact programming means that Map Maker Pro 2.4
requires only 5Mbs of hard disk for the basic installation. Suitable
